Wikiation hosts wiki's for profit and non-profit organisations. A wiki within an organisation has different demands from a wiki like Wikipedia.

To be able to support these different demands, Wikiation extends the functionality of MediaWiki (the software of Wikipedia), so the wiki better supports what is needed within the organisation.

Although multilangual support is available for wiki's, the main language is Dutch (Nederlands). In the nearby future full language support is possible using translatewiki (or Betawiki) which is also used by Wikipedia itself.
